The purpose of the e-Reforma Project is to bring together a corpus of archival documents and printed texts which can be used to analyse the reception of reformed ideas within intellectual and popular circles in Spain and Portugal. It further aims to create understanding of the processes of appropriation and re-appropriation of Protestantism’s doctrinal content in the territories of both Crowns of the Iberian Peninsula during the Reformation era. The e-Reforma Project will also place these confessional questions within the framework of a converso sensibility characteristic of New Christians in Spain and in Portugal during the Golden Age.

The e-Reforma Project aims to nourish these lines of enquiry by means of various divisions, and by creating online tools that offer new instruments for research.
